Top 5 Keto Mistakes

1. Obsessing about the scale

do not obsess about the scale. The ketogenic lifestyle is a fat loss program, not weight loss. You may be losing inches when your not losing weight. So be more concerned with how your cloths fit, and how you feel than the numbers on the scale

2. Not getting enough healthy fats

The ketogenic lifestyle requires you to take in 65%-75% fat. Otherwise you are not practicing the ketogenic lifestyle. In order to turn your body into a fat burning machine, you must eat plenty of healthy fat. Please make sure you consume healthy fats more than any other. Coconut oil, Olive oil, Fish, Macadamia nuts, pecans, Avocado’s just to name a few. Yes… you can eat bacon although its not the healthiest form of fat.

3. Eating to much Protein

When you consume more protein than your body needs it ends up converting that protein into glucose which in turn can raise your blood sugar levels and knock you out of ketosis. This process is called Gluconeogenesis.

4. Not getting enough electrolytes

are important no matter how you eat, but they are absolutely critical on the Ketogenic diet. In fact, I would say they are the number one reason why most people end up failing. If you do not have enough sodium, magnesium, and potassium in your diet, you will experience cramping, and Keto flu symptoms.

5. Eating hidden carbs

sure you are reading all labels to see exactly how many carbs are present. The food industry knows we are addicted to sugar, therefore sugar is added to items that you would never imagine. Fruits and nuts can also be tricky, make sure you do not over eat them.
